One-Time SEO: A Complete Single-Project Overhaul

Sometimes you don’t need monthly SEO. You need someone to come in, fix what’s broken, set things up properly, and hand it back to you — done. That’s exactly what this is.

One-time SEO overhaul for small businesses

What It Is

This is a single-project SEO engagement — not a retainer, not a subscription. I audit your site, build a clear plan, implement everything, and deliver a report that explains what was done and what to do next.

It’s built for small-business owners who want a solid SEO foundation without committing to ongoing monthly fees. Whether you plan to take things over yourself, hire someone later, or just need the site in good shape, this gives you a clean starting point.

Good fit if:

  • Your site launched without any real SEO work
  • You’ve never had a proper technical or on-page audit
  • You’re about to run ads or do outreach and want the site ready
  • You want to understand what’s wrong before deciding on ongoing work

What’s Included

These are concrete deliverables — not vague ‘optimization’ promises.

  1. Technical audit and fixes — crawl errors, indexing issues, broken links, redirect problems, duplicate content, and basic structured data where applicable
  2. On-page optimization across key pages — title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, and keyword alignment on your homepage, service pages, and top-priority pages
  3. Site structure and internal linking — a review of how your pages connect, with fixes to make sure Google (and visitors) can navigate your site logically
  4. Google Business Profile tune-up — categories, services, description, NAP consistency, and a check for anything holding back local visibility
  5. GA4 and Google Search Console check — confirm tracking is set up correctly, verify Search Console is active and clean, flag any data gaps
  6. Page speed basics — I’ll flag the biggest speed issues (image sizes, render-blocking resources) and address what’s practical within the project scope
  7. Plain-English handover report — a written summary of everything done, what was found, and clear next-step recommendations you can actually act on

How It’s Different From Monthly SEO

A one-time project fixes the foundation. It handles what’s broken, sets up what’s missing, and puts your site in a position to compete.

What it doesn’t do is sustain momentum over time. SEO is ongoing by nature — search results shift, competitors keep building links, and content needs to grow. If you’re in a competitive market or have aggressive traffic goals, a one-time overhaul is a strong start, but it probably won’t be the whole story.

I’d rather be straight with you now than have you expect results this project isn’t designed to deliver. After the handover, you’ll have a clear picture of where things stand and whether ongoing work makes sense for your situation.

How It Works

Step 1 — Audit: I start with a full audit of your site: technical health, on-page issues, local SEO signals, and analytics setup.

Step 2 — Plan and quote: You get a clear written plan covering what needs to be done, why, and a flat project quote. You know exactly what’s included before anything starts — no scope creep, no surprises.

Step 3 — Implementation: I do the work. No hand-off to a junior team, no templated fixes. You’re working directly with me throughout.

Step 4 — Handover: You receive a plain-English report: what was done, what was found, and specific recommendations for what to focus on next — whether that’s content, links, or something else entirely.

Pricing

Flat rate, quoted upfront after the audit and plan step.

Every site is different — the number of pages, the state of the technical setup, and the scope of on-page work all affect how long this takes. That’s why I don’t publish a fixed price here. What I can promise is that you’ll have a clear number before we start, and it won’t change.

No retainer. No recurring charge. One project, one price.

FAQ

How long does a one-time project take?

Most projects run two to four weeks from kickoff to handover report. The timeline depends on site size and how quickly I can get access to what’s needed — I’ll give you a realistic estimate in the plan step.

Will this get me to #1 on Google?

No — and anyone who promises that is not being straight with you. What this does is remove the technical and on-page problems holding your site back, and put it in a much better position to rank. Results depend on competition, your market, and what happens after the project.

Will I need monthly SEO after this?

It depends. If you’re in a low-competition local market and you keep your content current, a one-time overhaul may be enough for a while. If you’re competing for high-volume terms or your competitors are actively building content and links, you’ll likely need ongoing work eventually. I’ll give you an honest take in the handover report.

What do you need from me to start?

Website access (CMS and hosting, or at minimum FTP/cPanel), Google Search Console and GA4 access, and a short call to talk through your business, your goals, and the pages that matter most to you.

What if my site is a mess?

That’s exactly what this project is for. Most sites I work on have a mix of technical issues, inconsistent on-page work, and tracking that’s partially set up. There’s no shame in it — sites accumulate problems over time, especially when they’re built without SEO in mind. We start from wherever you are.
